St. Leon-Rot Golf Club, which we owe to the vision of one man who wanted to create a unique golfing paradise, was opened more than 20 years ago. In 1997, Dietmar Hopp, the founder of St. Leon-Rot Golf Club teed off the first ball at its official opening and the club has set new golfing standards ever since. Our golf club represents fairness, innovation and reliability. It offers outstanding infrastructure conditions to its members and guests who experience many memorable moments amidst a breathtakingly beautiful scenery from their very first moment with us. As we intend to keep it that way, we do not rest on our laurels: Every day, we strive to create an atmosphere in which our members and guests feel comfortable with us at any time. Our course St. Leon with a length of approx. 6,541 metres was designed by the English architect Dave Thomas and is a links styled course; therefore, much of its setting is reminiscent of Scottish or Irish golf courses. Its sandy soil, its numerous surfaces of water, its elaborately shaped bunkers as well as an island fairway are the dominating elements of this course. Therefore, playing precise strokes is just as important as moving the ball over long distances here.
Chosen as Germany's most popular golf course by the readers of the Golf Journal each year from 2011 to 2015.

Hannes Schreiner, its architect, has succeeded in perfectly integrating our course Red into the existing meadow landscape with its extraordinary flair. Major parts of the original landscape were kept in the form of biotopes and contribute to a particularly beautiful scenery as well as to the particular challenges which the 18-hole course brings along. Hence, the parkland course with a length of 6,587 metres is the perfect combination of golf at its highest level and a relaxing and heavenly scenery.
