Lobden Golf Club

Located high on the south Pennine moors above Whitworth, Lobden Golf Club offers spectacular views, and a warm welcome to members and visitors alike. Since 1888 Lobden has been challenging golfers from near and far, testing players of all abilities in this ancient game. Although the course has changed somewhat since it was founded, the fundamentals of the course have been kept, rewarding skill and judgment above distance, in empathy to the principals laid out by our forefathers. Though not a long course compared to some of today’s standards, the prevailing winds can punish unwary golfers who must balance risk against reward.
