Our attractive 18-hole parkland course has a quality that only time and maturity can provide and the par 71 offers a challenging, but fair test for all abilities of player. Its design was influenced by renowned golf course architect and five times Open champion, James Braid, who actually played at Stortford’s opening match in June 1910.Today, the mildly undulating course is enhanced by a large variety of trees and flowering shrubs and is meticulously maintained all year round. We pride ourselves on significant investment in ground maintenance equipment and course improvements to ensure you get the best golf experience at all times.

Highly recommended

Bishop's Stortford is just 10 minutes by train from Stansted Airport and is definitely worth a stop on the way to London. The reception in the pro shop was great, very friendly! The course itself is beautiful, with large, well-maintained tees and fast greens. What we were missing was signage on the pitch or a layout on the scorecard. We were there for the first time, but definitely not for the last time!

Super nice and beautiful

This beautiful golf course is located just outside of London, near the airport. The reception in the pro shop and on the entire facility is remarkable. The course is in great condition with good and very well-kept greens. With water hazards and great bunkers, there is never a dull moment. We will come back for sure. :-)
