Golfclub Traunsee Kirchham

The club was founded in 1989 by six friends – Matthias Hitzenberger, Alfred Reuter, Fritz Filz, Reinhold Altenstrasser, Hans Hitzenberger and Jörg Landertshammer. The golf course was designed by prominent golf course architect Hansjörg Volk from Munich. The first 9 holes were opened in 1991. In 1994 18-holes course was finished. In 1995 it was opened. Since this time we had a lot of high quality tournaments, for example, Menschen für Menschen with the actor Karl Heinz Böhm, Christine Vranitzky (Austrian ex-premier‘ lady) Charity Cup, Volvo Masters Amateur,Pro Ams, World Vision Austria, etc. During last 20 years we made several renovations to upgrade the course and now it’s a nice place to play golf wieving beautiful landscape and taking pleasure of perfect grass.
