Set in the shadow of the famous Wicklow Mountains, Charlesland Golf Club was designed by one of Ireland’s most celebrated and prolific course designers, Eddie Hackett, whose masterpieces include the legendary links courses Waterville, Connemara, Murvagh and Enniscrone. Charlesland has always been known as a challenging but fair test of golf in a beautiful setting. The course skirts the Irish Sea during the front nine, with the back 9 offering a true Parkland experience. At almost 7,000 yards from the championship tees, ever-present winds, water in play on several holes and well-guarded greens, it presents a stern test. Though generous landing areas offer scoring opportunities on longer holes and a variety of tees provide all with a fair and challenging experience.
